Dan Appleman is a software developer. Along the way he founded (and still runs) Desaware Inc. He co-founded (and no longer runs) Apress publishing. He wrote a lot of books and EBooks that you can still find on Amazon.com and other online stores. He spoke at a lot of conferences and wrote a lot of articles.
These days he still writes, runs Desaware, hosts searchdotnet.com, works with a couple of interesting startups, does some consulting and has the luxury of working on projects and technologies that interest him most.
And he still writes software - in many different languages and on multiple platforms.
