Gerardo Arevalo

Senior Software Developer

My full name is Gerardo Francisco Arevalo Redaelli. I was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, and moved to the Florida Panhandle at the young age of 12 years. After graduating from Leon High School magna cum laude. I attended the University of Florida and Florida State University, and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Studies. My career started in 1997 at the Florida Board of Regents as Senior Computer Operator.

Having a vision and passion for computer science, I moved to New York City, and was able to excel as a full-stack engineer. I have been professionally trained at SetFocus, where from I graduated in the top of the class, but I am most proud of the earned and unmatched, home-grown, and on-the-job, experience with a special interest in programming.

I have strong skills in .Net, C#, ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms, SQL Server, IIS, Azure and Amazon Cloud, WCF, ALM, Umbraco CMS, and JavaScript.

I am energetic and seasoned in the field of web development. Having been a principal contributor and collaborator in small, compact, teams that have made start-up companies grow into multi-million dollar businesses with projects in technology, education, banking and finance, and world-class digital media. I am now proud to be a part of the CODE/EPS Consulting Team to help bring state-of-the-art process, code, and thinking, to the masses!

When I am not at work, I enjoy working out, FSU football, and my family. I have two great nephews that revel in Minecraft. The oldest, Christopher, is ahead of the game, so I am always having to research the latest in game technology.
