CODE Magazine Publishes its First Android App
Houston, TX – July 8, 2011 … CODE Magazine has developed its first mobile application, Xiine Mobile. The previous incarnation of the Xiine program was an electronic reader for CODE Magazine subscribers on their desktops and laptops. Now Android users have the option of taking their electronic subscription with them on their phone or tablet device.
The application uses cutting edge Service Oriented Architecture developed by EPS Software, Inc., placing most of the applications “grunt work” on the magazine’s servers. This design leaves the mobile device free of heavy CPU, memory, and battery usage.
Xiine Mobile is free but requires a valid digital or print subscription to CODE Magazine to access content. Non Android subscribers can expect releases for iPhone/iPad, WP7, RIM, and WebOS soon. Milton Abe, leader developer for the application, stated “I fully expect the other platforms to fall into place fairly quickly for sure.”
Further information is available on the magazine’s website at http://www.code-magazine.com. Download the application from the Android Marketplace.
